The one-stop-shop for all your street furniture requirements

If you are looking for an alternative to metal, we have a wide range of hardwood and softwood timber bollards for sale at extremely competitive prices. We sell both 'fixed' and 'removable' timber bollards, with the removable version coming complete with a heavy duty galvanised ground socket and pin. A removable timber bollard can be lifted out from the ground socket to allow temporary access for vehicles. The timber post is fitted with a steel pin which secures it to the steel ground socket lid with a padlock, ensuring that it will stay in place once locked. When not in use the removable timber bollard fully lifts out of the ground socket leaving a steel lid which sits flush to the ground.

All timber bollards can be customised on the product page, where you can select the required post section, head type and recess options. If you don't see the timber bollard size or shape you're looking for, get in touch and we'll come back with a competitive quotation. We can cater to any requirements, whether a large new build site, or a smaller project, we can be your one stop shop for all wooden bollards.

Timber Bollards have been used for traffic management and perimeter protection for centuries, with the term bollard thought to have originated from ‘bole’ which means tree trunk, and continue to be an extremely popular traffic control method to this day. Hardwood timber bollards are a naturally strong and durable product that can be used to control traffic access (in town and city centres), secure perimeters (such as car parks), and protect buildings (such as shopping centres & storefronts).

Timber bollards provide a natural, high-strength and environmentally friendly traffic control and perimeter protection solution which can be used on both rural and urban projects. All hardwood timber bollards are FSC certified and sourced from sustainable forestry schemes. The timber species used for our hardwood bollards is either Oak, or Iroko, which are both highly durable and will continue to look better with age as they weather. You can fully customise your hardwood timber bollards online to make sure that they perfectly suit your needs.

Hardwood timber bollards will naturally weather over time and have a typical lifespan of 15 to 20 years if left untreated. Due to the nature of oak, you will see slight “movement” with the wet and dry conditions as the bollard’s moisture content changes. Hardwood timber bollards are also susceptible to cracks and splits as the bollard dries. This is completely normal and will add character to the posts as they age. Timber is a natural material, and part of the charm comes from the aging process which adds character to the posts.

Standard exterior wood treatments can be applied to the timber posts to prevent the natural weathering and keep the bollards looking more uniform over time. A treatment should be applied every 6 – 12 months.

·         Attractive, rustic and naturally strong protection.

·         Fully bespoke sizes available by request.

·         Environmentally friendly product from sustainable sources and Fully FSC certified.

·         Recesses can be applied to all timber posts.

Softwood timber bollards provide a cost-effective alternative to our hardwood bollards, while still giving the attractive wooden finish and natural strength. Softwood timber posts are pressure treated as standard and can be supplied in both round and square options. Both options can be supplied cut to any size. Wooden bollards are a rustic, low maintenance and environmentally friendly access control and traffic control solution perfect for large car parks, border delineation, parks & nature reserves, woodland pathways and educational centres.

Because of the lower cost nature of softwood bollards, they make a great perimeter protection solution and can also be used  for border delineation, or as post & rail systems by boring a hole through the post and inserting a galvanised, or powder coated, steel tube.

Our softwood timber bollards are manufactured using timber sourced from forests under conservation and re-plantation programmes ensuring an environmentally friendly product.
